The Diet No One Talks About in Church

Walk into almost any Christian or Catholic church today and you’ll hear sermons on salvation, obedience, and the promises of God. But rarely—if ever—will you hear a breakdown of Genesis 1:29-31, where the Creator gave humanity its original dietary instruction: a plant-based lifestyle.

Why is it that the very first command about food, spoken directly by the Most High to humanity, is skipped over or dismissed as irrelevant?

Why don’t churches question why God originally gave us plants, only for meat and animal sacrifices to enter the picture after the flood of Noah?

And more importantly, what does this shift mean for us today—spiritually, physically, and energetically?

This article dives into the common sense, science, and scripture behind the original diet of man, and it reveals the religious and institutional corruption that followed. Prepare to challenge what you’ve been taught—and possibly change the way you view your plate forever.

The Divine Blueprint: Genesis 1:29–31

Let’s start where everything began—the Garden of Eden. Before sin, before laws, before nations and religion, there was pure divine alignment. And what was humanity’s first instruction for physical sustenance?

Genesis 1:29 (KJV):

“And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.”

This verse clearly shows that the word "meat" in early Genesis did not mean animal flesh, but rather plant-based nourishment. The Creator designed us to thrive on living foods—herbs, fruits, and seeds.

Genesis 1:30 continues:

“And to every beast of the earth... wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.”

Even the animals were originally plant-based. There was no violence in Eden. No killing. No death. Man and beast alike were in perfect harmony with nature and the Creator.

Genesis 1:31 wraps it up:

“And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.”

It’s clear: the Creator’s perfect world included no bloodshed. Only after the fall of man and later, the flood, do we see death enter the diet. But was that shift really God’s will—or merely a temporary concession?

Why Plants? The Spiritual & Biological Common Sense 🌱

Let’s take a step back and apply common sense and spiritual logic.

If God created a perfect world and declared the plant-based diet "very good," then that must mean it was the highest form of nourishment for mind, body, and soul.

🌿 Common Sense Perspective:

  • Plants don’t require killing or suffering to be consumed.

  • They carry sunlight energy and grow from the soil—both symbols of life and rebirth.

  • They cleanse, renew, and align us with creation, not destruction.

Eating meat, by contrast, involves:

  • Taking innocent life

  • Participating in violence and bloodshed

  • Consuming the energy of fear, adrenaline, and death

Which of these seems more aligned with a Creator of peace, life, and order?

Science Confirms What Scripture Teaches 🔬📖

Modern science has caught up to what was written in Genesis thousands of years ago. A growing body of research confirms that a plant-based diet supports physical vitality, mental clarity, and emotional balance—all of which are crucial for spiritual growth.

📚 Scientific Support:

  • A Harvard Health study found that plant-based diets reduce inflammation, lower the risk of chronic diseases, and support mental health. (Harvard Source)

  • A 2020 Nutrients Journal study revealed that those who follow plant-based diets have improved mood stability, focus, and overall well-being.

  • A 2021 meta-analysis in Advances in Nutrition concluded that whole plant foods promote longevity, boost immunity, and even improve neurocognitive function.

Science backs what Genesis hinted all along: plants are for life, while meat—especially in today’s industrial system—is often tied to death, disease, and disconnection.

After the Flood: The Introduction of Meat 🌊🥩

After the global flood in Noah’s time, we see a dramatic shift in humanity’s relationship with food—and with creation itself. It’s in Genesis 9:3 that meat is first explicitly mentioned as part of the human diet:

“Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.” (Genesis 9:3, KJV)

To many, this seems like God is giving His blessing for humanity to eat animals. But the context and deeper examination suggest otherwise.

⚠️ Was This a Blessing or a Concession?

Remember, the earth had just been devastated by the flood. Agriculture may have been temporarily destroyed, and Noah’s family likely had limited resources. Some scholars and spiritual teachers believe this verse was not a new divine preference, but rather a concession to human survival in a fallen, chaotic world.

Much like the allowance of divorce in Mosaic law (which Yahshua later clarified was not God’s will but permitted because of “the hardness of men’s hearts”), the allowance of meat post-flood may reflect man's condition, not God's ideal.

It’s important to note:

  • There is no declaration in Genesis 9 that this was “very good.”

  • God makes no mention of the spiritual or physical benefits of meat.

  • The immediate consequence? God imposes the death penalty for murder in Genesis 9:6—possibly to reestablish the sanctity of life after opening the door to killing animals.

VI. The Slippery Slope: From Provision to Ritual Bloodshed 🩸

Once the door to meat-eating was cracked open, it didn’t take long before the act of killing animals became ritualized. What began as a survival concession slowly evolved into a full-blown sacrificial system.

Over time, many began to associate closeness to God with blood offerings. Priests, temples, and institutions began to center religious life around animal sacrifice, and with that came control, hierarchy, and corruption.

But was this ever God's true desire?

“For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.”
Hosea 6:6

“To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the Lord... Bring no more vain oblations.”
Isaiah 1:11-13

These prophetic words make it clear: the Most High was never pleased with blood rituals. Something had gone terribly off course.

VII. The Science of Meat: Death, Disease, and Dissonance 🧬☠️

While many argue that eating meat is “natural,” science increasingly paints a different picture. Today, the consumption of animal products is one of the leading causes of disease, environmental destruction, and mental imbalance.

📚 Science Says:

  • Heart disease, the #1 global killer, is directly linked to animal fat and cholesterol. (American Heart Association)

  • The World Health Organization classifies processed meat as a Group 1 carcinogen—in the same category as cigarettes.

  • Studies from Harvard and Oxford show that meat consumption increases inflammation and is associated with anxiety, depression, and cognitive decline.

  • Slaughterhouse environments are filled with fear, pain, and adrenaline—and that energetic trauma remains in the flesh, passing into the consumer.

When we eat food filled with stress, decay, and disconnection, we can’t expect to live in harmony with our higher spiritual calling.

VIII. The Great Cover-Up: Exposing Religious & Institutional Corruption 🕵️‍♂️⛪

Here’s where it gets uncomfortable—but necessary. If the Creator’s original design was plant-based, and if both Scripture and science support the dangers of meat-eating and sacrifice…

Why are Christian and Catholic churches still silent?

Why do they ignore Genesis 1:29-31 and focus instead on verses taken out of context to justify eating meat?
Why has the Edenic standard been erased from modern theology?

The answer lies in institutional control.

Over centuries, religious institutions have:

  • Twisted Scripture to suit political agendas and cultural norms

  • Suppressed non-canonical texts like the Gospel of the Nazarenes, where Yahshua speaks against meat and sacrifice

  • Used ritual sacrifice and doctrinal fear to maintain authority and obedience

“How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?”
John 5:44

Religious systems have muted the original voice of the Creator, replacing it with a version of truth that keeps people spiritually dependent, sick, and out of alignment. But the remnant is waking up.

Bringing It Full Circle:

Returning to Eden 🌿

The Creator’s plan was never complicated. In the beginning, it was simple: life without death, nourishment without suffering, alignment without confusion. Humanity was given plants for food, not just for physical health, but as a spiritual path of harmony with creation.

Over time, this sacred path was buried beneath layers of tradition, blood rituals, and institutional agendas. What was once clear became clouded. The Edenic diet turned into animal sacrifice, and eventually, religious doctrines that justify bloodshed and call it holy.

But the truth is still in the Scriptures. The evidence is still in your body. And the confirmation is now being echoed through science, the earth, and the collective spiritual awakening taking place around the world.

"Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind..."
— Romans 12:2

🌱 The Call to Return

This is not about legalism. It’s not about food fads or religious superiority. It’s about returning—to the Creator, to divine alignment, and to the original instruction of life and peace found in Genesis 1:29-31.

If you’ve ever felt spiritually stuck, emotionally drained, or physically off-balance, consider what you’re putting on your plate. Food is not just fuel—it’s frequency. And when we feed the flesh, we often silence the spirit.

But when we return to Eden—in heart, in mind, and on the plate—we create space for the Most High to dwell more fully in us.

🌟 Final Reflection:

  • What if the real spiritual warfare was on your plate?

  • What if the enemy didn’t need to fight you—just feed you?

  • And what if the church’s silence on this issue was part of a bigger plan to keep you disconnected from divine truth?

The answers are already written. We just have to go back to the beginning.
